A few words from Mackenzie on her wedding day:

We initially fell in love with Thornewood Castle as our wedding venue and were really inspired to make our wedding classic & elegant to match the feel we got when walking around the castle & garden. My husband is European, so we loved having the ability to tie in his heritage to our big day through Thornewood. We decided on blush & gold as our wedding colors to tie back to the classic theme and immediately began working with our planner & florist to determine how to accentuate the features of this gorgeous venue without stealing away from it’s natural beauty–and our team totally nailed it! Food was also extremely important to us and we were blown away by Twelve Baskets, Better than a Boyfriend, & Celebrity Cake Studio and our guests totally agreed. On the big day, we were SO impressed with how everything came together. From the beautiful garden ceremony, to the gorgeous reception underneath a tent in the back lawn & dancing and drinking in the grand ballroom, our day felt like it was straight out of a fairytale. Our wedding planner & team were beyond helpful throughout the entire process and were instrumental in making everything run smoothly and turn out perfect. We were SO thankful to have Stephanie Cristalli & Belscope Weddings there as well to help capture our big day and were blown away by the photos and videos we got to take away afterwards. In short, our day was a complete dream and above & beyond anything we could have ever imagined! We are so thankful for the wonderful team that helped make our dream wedding come to life and would highly recommend all of our incredible vendors to any bride & groom looking to create their perfect day!

When it comes to hiring a senior portrait photographer, experience matters.  I’m sure you have ideas in mind for what you want, but you also may have questions.  You may ask, what should I wear?  What kinds of posing ideas do you have?  Or, where should I book my session for?  Having been a portrait photographer in Seattle for almost 20 years, I can help with all of your questions or concerns.

What to wear?  I think it’s important to wear something that you find comfortable and feel super confident in.  Whether you choose vibrant colors, patterns, or more muted tones, your outfit should reflect the best version of yourself.  Feel free to bring something new as well as your favorite go-to ensemble.

For posing ideas, this part you get to leave up to me.   I know how to bring out the best in a guy or girl to accent their best features.  Camera angle, lighting, and posing all come into play.  I will work with each individual to bring out their personal style and personality in a way that is both flattering and authentic.

Where should you book your session?  There are so many wonderful Locations in Seattle to choose from, and we should pick one that is a good fit for you.  Some of my favorite locations to name a few are: Discovery park, Seattle Arboretum, S.A.M. sculpture park, and Pike Place Market.  Wherever you choose, we will have a great time exploring as we find all the best light and backdrops for your portraits.

I’m happy to schedule a phone consultation if you have more question or concerns not addressed here.  I look forward to meeting you and making some fun and fabulous portraits together!!
